Mohamed Bourouissa @ De School

Mohamed Bourouissa is an artist born in 1978 in 
Blida in Algeria.
He obtained his MA in Visual Arts at the University 
Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne in 2004. 
He also graduated from the National School of 
Decorative Arts, specialized in photography.
Since 2002, he is regularly invited to participate 
in group exhibitions. 
His work was well presented to Lanzhou Photography 
Festival (China) in 2006. 
Since 2005, he is inspired by the daily pictorial 
references as Caravaggio, Delacroix, Géricault, 
he is particularly fond, and photographs as 
Jeff Wall and Philip -Lorca diCorcia, are considered 
like contemporary allegories of tables or urban myths. 
He won the award Voies Off 2007 Arles.
Mohamed Bourouissa is represented by 
Galerie Kamel Mennour in Paris.
